Text Box:      Clymos Shaft     — Perpendicular, down 205 fms, from surface and communicates with                                     Pollards. Engine Compartment 11ft x 8ft. Whim Compartment 11ft x                                    7ft. Both shaft skips are employed and flat hemp ropes. Ladder ways are                                     3fm. Lengths with a base of 4ft.        Footway for      —  A special shaft for this purpose to the adit. A small house over it keeps       Men                        rain out. Perpendicular for 6 fms, there to adit inclining 4ft. Per fm. On                                      course of the lode. From the adit to the 90 an old shaft (Barrets) is                                      kept clear as a ladderway, sunk on the course of the lode and dipping                                      at the rate of 4ft. per fm. From the 90 down the men go through  special winzes.                                            Drying and Changing — A good sized house 52ft. Long x 18ft. Wide x 20ft. High. It has     House                       two windows and a ventilator in the roof. It is warmed by a fire and                                      tube. From 70-80 men change there and it is about 60 fms. From the                                      Footway. About 30 men change in the Boiler House, which is very                                      roomy and well provided with windows. The fillers, landers and tram                                      men change in the Whim Boiler House. There is a change for pitmen                                      and two houses for shaftmen. All the dressing operations are carried                                      on under sheds, most of which are provided with movable hanging                                      slides to protect the dressers against wind and rain. One shed is                                      completely boarded in and provided with a fire and seats. This is for                                      the women and girls to dine.
